Bellair Air Conditioner Installs Pty Ltd (ACN 699 262 578) — "Bellair", "we", "us" — respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you submit our quote form, call us, or email us, we collect:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address (if you provide one)
• Your suburb / address
• Details about the work you're enquiring about

We also collect basic technical data when you visit the site: IP address (anonymised), browser type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location (city only). This is used only to improve the site.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and quote your job
• To keep records of work done for warranty and tax purposes
• To lodge VEU rebate paperwork on your behalf (only with your consent)
• To follow up after your install asking for a review (you can opt out by replying STOP)

Who we share it with

Nobody, except:

• Calen Lacey of Lacey Electrics when an electrical job is bundled — only the relevant address and contact details
• Brighte (only if you apply for finance through us)
• Government rebate programs (only if you apply for VEU through us)
• The Australian Tax Office or ASIC where legally required

We do not sell your data. Ever.

How we store it

Securely, on Google Workspace (Australian-region servers) and Xero. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

How long we keep it

• Quote enquiries where no work proceeded: 12 months
• Customer records (work completed): 7 years (Australian tax law requirement)
• Marketing analytics: aggregated only, no personally identifiable data kept beyond 14 months

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• See what data we hold about you
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Delete your data (subject to the 7-year tax requirement for completed jobs)
• Opt out of any post-install SMS communications

Email info@bellair.melbourne with the subject "Privacy request" and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics 4) and session insights (Microsoft Clarity). We do not use cookies for advertising. You can decline analytics cookies via our cookie banner.

Complaints

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, email us first. If unresolved, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
