Multi-room air conditioning
Multi-Head Split Systems Melbourne
Several rooms can run from one outdoor condenser, but the pipe routes and capacity combinations need to be worked out before anyone starts drilling.
When a multi-head makes sense
A multi-head arrangement can suit homes with limited outdoor space, townhouses, period facades and small commercial premises where several separate condensers would be impractical. Each indoor head can be controlled independently while sharing one correctly matched outdoor unit.
Planning the full system
We size each room separately, check the manufacturer's permitted indoor-unit combinations and plan the branch and pipe routes as one system. Bedrooms usually need different capacity and airflow from open-plan living areas. Diversity also matters: the outdoor unit must suit how the rooms are likely to operate together, not simply the sum of every badge rating.
Pipework and access
Long routes, ceiling spaces, wardrobes, two-storey walls and concealed drainage can make or break the finished result. Matt talks through the visible duct cover, access panels and condenser location before quoting. That gives you a realistic plan rather than surprises once the walls are open.
