Old unit replacement
Split System Replacement Melbourne
Replacing an old split isn't always a straight swap. We check the existing pipework, power, drain and unit positions before quoting it properly.
Assess before replacing
A failed indoor unit does not automatically mean the existing pipe size, drain or electrical supply suits the replacement. We identify the old model and capacity, inspect access around both units and check whether the original installation has left water damage, damaged duct cover or an unsuitable condenser position.
Reuse only when it makes sense
Sometimes an existing route can be retained; sometimes new pipework is the cleaner and more reliable option. Matt explains that before the job begins. The replacement is selected for the room as it is now, which matters if walls have moved, glazing has changed or an extension has opened up the floorplan since the old system was fitted.
Removal, installation and handover
We disconnect and remove the old indoor and outdoor units, recycle them, fit the selected replacement and commission it through heating and cooling modes. The finished job includes tidy pipework and drainage, electrical connection, controller setup, operating guidance and clean-up.
