Terms of Service

These terms apply to any installation, service, or quote provided by Bellair Air Conditioner Installs Pty Ltd (ACN 699 262 578) — "Bellair", "we", "us".

Quotes

1. All quotes are valid for 30 days from issue
2. Quotes are fixed price subject to:
   • Site conditions matching what was discussed at the quote visit
   • No structural or electrical work being discovered that wasn't visible at quote
   • Standard back-to-back install (additional pipe runs, brackets, or core drilling may be quoted separately and agreed in writing before any work)
3. Deposits, if requested, are 30% of the quoted total

Installation

1. We arrive between 7am and 6pm, on the agreed day, with a 30-minute call ahead
2. We carry full public liability insurance and workers compensation
3. We are ARCtick-licensed (AU 55218) — required by Australian law for refrigerant work
4. We do not commence any electrical work outside the scope of plug-in connection — that's done by Lacey Electrics under their own licence

Warranty

1. Workmanship warranty: 7 years from date of install
2. The manufacturer warranty on the unit itself is separate and provided by the brand (typically 5–7 years parts and labour — varies by brand and model)
3. The workmanship warranty does not cover:
   • Damage from natural disasters, vermin, or third-party tampering
   • Filter cleaning or routine service (offered separately)
   • Faults caused by power surges or supply problems
4. If you have a workmanship issue, contact us first — we will come back and assess at no charge

Payment

1. Payment is due within 7 days of install completion unless otherwise agreed
2. We accept: bank transfer, credit/debit card (surcharge applies on cards), and Brighte interest-free finance (where eligible)
3. Late payments accrue 10% per annum from day 14

Cancellation

1. Cancel any time before install with 24 hours' notice — full refund of any deposit
2. Cancel with less than 24 hours' notice — we retain $250 to cover scheduled travel and disrupted scheduling
3. We may cancel and refund if site conditions on arrival differ materially from quote

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides non-excludable guarantees including that services will be provided with due care and skill, and goods will be of acceptable quality.

Disputes

Talk to us first — most things get sorted with a phone call. If we can't agree, disputes are subject to Victorian law and the jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
