The rebuilds and townhouses are open-plan and easy, though the townhouses often have tight side access that dictates where the condenser goes. Down toward Parkdale Beach the salt factor kicks in, so outdoor units on the beachside streets get sited off the exposed walls and specced for the coast. The original post-war homes commonly have switchboards that were never sized for a reverse-cycle load, so we check that before quoting. It's a solid, family-suburb kind of job — nothing exotic in the construction, but done properly the difference shows in a room that actually holds temperature through a hot northerly.
