Martha Cove marina is the giveaway that Safety Beach is the newest face of this stretch of the Peninsula — a lot of the housing here went up in the last twenty years, including the canal-estate homes around the waterways, so it's a different animal to the old beach towns either side. Most of what we touch is modern: brick veneer, 2.7m ceilings, open-plan living, and clean back-to-back pipework straight out to the side. That makes the plumbing side of a Safety Beach job usually simple. Where the thought goes is placement and sizing. The estate blocks are tighter than the Peninsula norm, so outdoor units end up near fence lines and we make sure they can breathe and aren't blasting a neighbour. Homes on the canals and near the foreshore cop salt off the water — and the marina keeps it humid and briny — so units get sited off the exposed walls and specced for the coast even on near-new houses. The open-plan living zones are glazed toward the water on a lot of these, pulling solar gain, so we size to the volume rather than a rule of thumb. Bigger family homes here often suit a multi-head covering living and bedrooms off one condenser. It's newer stock, so switchboards are usually fine, but we check before quoting.

What's included in your Safety Beach install
A Safety Beach install includes supply of your chosen unit, fitting to AS/NZS 3000, neat back-to-back or routed pipework, condensate drainage, electrical connection, old unit removal and recycling, commissioning and clean-up. On the tighter estate blocks here we take time to site the outdoor unit so it breathes and doesn't blast the neighbours, and on the canal and foreshore homes we keep it off the worst salt exposure despite the newer build. It's all in the fixed price agreed up front, switchboard checked before we quote.
